Two Week Look Ahead (September 21)

Good morning.  We are starting to put some full weeks together and we are getting into a routine.  Last week, we held a Club Fair during lunch period and all students got to walk through the fair to see what clubs and activities are offered at LHS.  Many students signed up, so hopefully there will be strong participation in extra-curricular activities.

The fall sports season is in full swing.  Come check out a game or two in the near future.  Our student-athletes play hard and do a great job of representing the community.

For our Senior class, the college process has begun.  Our guidance staff will hold college planning meetings on Tuesday, September 22.  The meetings will occur in the LHS library at 7:45 am and 6:00 pm.  Parents and guardians of Seniors are strongly encouraged to attend.  Senior students will be meeting with guidance counselors to start the application process.  Here are the dates and times of Senior Seminar with the LHS guidance staff:

Two Week Look Ahead - September 7, 2015

Good morning.  I will try to put a “two week look ahead” out to students and parents on a regular basis.  It’s a good way to let everybody know what is going on at LHS.  So, here it goes for the first one of the 2015-2016 school year.

One of the purposes of implementing advisory is to strengthen relationshipsbetween students and teachers.  We know from both experience and research that kids learnbest and are most successful when they have strong relationships with adults.
