Two Week Look Ahead - October 26, 2015

Good morning.  We are coming off of an exciting Homecoming weekend.  We were victorious in our football game against Murdock, had some outstanding floats and community support for the parade, and reconnected with alumni who returned for the weekend.  Thanks for your support!

It’s hard to believe that the first term and the fall sports season is winding down.  Parent-teacher conferences are later this week and the SAT will be administered, for those who signed up, on Saturday, November 7th.  Here is a calendar of some upcoming events:

Monday, October 26: 
  • Field Hockey vs. Hudson at 7:00 PM on the turf

Wednesday, October 28: 
  • Early Release day (10:55 am)  for Parent-teacher conferences.  Conferences are 12-3 pm
  • Boys Soccer (Senior Night) vs. Oakmont at 7:00 PM on the turf

Schedule for the early release day:
  • G – 7:25-8:15
  • B – 8:19-9:09
  • Advisory – 9:13-9:31
  • F – 9:35-10:55

Thursday, October 29:
  • Field Hockey vs. Littleton at 3:00 PM on the turf
  • Parent-teacher conferences 5-8 PM

Friday, October 30: 
  • Football vs. Littleton at 7:00 pm on the turf

Tuesday, November 3:
  • Winter Sports Sign-up at 6 PM in the Cafeteria

Friday, November 6:  
  • Deadline for the December 5th SAT
  • Football game vs. TBA at TBA
  • END OF THE FIRST TERM

Saturday, November 7:  
  • SAT at Lunenburg High School for those who have signed up
  • Boys and Girls Club Rockin’ Auction at 7:00 PM at the Eagles Club in Leominster

  • University of Maine Farmington  10-26
  • Framingham State  10-26
  • Southern New Hampshire  10-27
  • UNH  10-30
  • Mass College of Pharmacy  11-2

District playoffs will begin next week, but we will not know schedules until early next week.  Please check the website for schedules.

Two Week Look Ahead - October 12, 2015

The next two weeks are pretty busy with Miles for Myles and Homecoming week.  Hopefully, students are attending float meetings and making the most of the homecoming season.  Here is the schedule for the next two weeks.

Wednesday, October 14 

  • Regular schedule for students in grades 8 & 9
  • PSAT’s for students in grades 10 & 11
  • Seniors are encouraged to go on college visits (please fill out the college visit form and get the appropriate documentation).  Seniors not going on college visits will work on the college application process.  Classes will resume as normal during lunch block.
  • Field hockey vs. Gardner at 3:30 pm on the turf
  • Girls Soccer vs. Littleton at 7:00 pm on the turf
Thursday, October 15
  • Cross Country vs. Ayer-Shirley at 3:30 pm on the track
Friday, October 16
  • Football at Narragansett at 7:00 pm at Narragansett
Saturday, October 17
  • Fun on the Farm at Hollis Hills Farm in Fitchburg.  Senior Class event featuring pumpkin painting, apple chucking, face painting and cow chip bingo  11:00 – 4:00 pm.  Come out to support the Senior Class!!!
Sunday, October 18 - Miles for Myles – (When registering, make sure that you check the box that says you are supporting Lunenburg High School.  The winning school will be awarded a $1,000 check to be used toward a guest speaker this year!)
  • 11:00 -  Ridin’ with the Chief
  • 12:00 - 1 Mile Fun Run
  • 12:30 – 5K Run
  • 12:35 – 5K Walk
Monday, October 19
  • Field Hockey vs. Murdock at 7:00 pm on the turf
Wednesday, October 21 
  • Boys Soccer vs. Bromfield at 3:30 pm on the turf
Friday, October 23
  • Boys Soccer vs. Tahanto at 3:30 pm on the turf
  • Homecoming Rally – 1:00 pm
  • Homecoming Dance – 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Saturday, October 24 - Homecoming Day
  • 12:00 pm – Parade leaving THMS
  • 2:00 pm – Football vs. Murdock on the turf
  • Winning float announced at the end of the game
The Homecoming week events are:
  • Monday, 10/19 – America/Red, White, and Blue Day
  • Tuesday, 10/20 – Tropical or Tacky, Tourist Day
  • Wednesday, 10/21 – Future or Dream Job Day
  • Thursday, 10/22 – Professional Sports Team Shirts and Jerseys or Tiaras
  • Friday, 10/23 – Class Shirt or Blue and White Day
